Pennsylvania State police in Upper Mount Bethel Township also reported charges against a 44-year-old woman accused of stealing a 76-year-old woman's purse.
A Bethlehem man faces charges for leaving the scene of a crash in Hanover Township, Northampton County after running a red light, according to Colonial Regional police.
Kevin McDonald, 59, of the 2300 block of Stonehenge Road, allegedly struck another vehicle March 10 at Schoenersville Road and Illicks Mill Road. Several witnesses told authorities they saw the crash and were able to get the McDonald's license plate number.
Police went to McDonald's home, according to authorities, and confronted the driver about the wreck. McDonald admitted to driving the vehicle and causing the crash after he ran a red traffic light, police say.
McDonald was charged with hit and run of an occupied vehicle as well as other traffic-related violations, according to police.
Police across the Lehigh Valley also reported the following incidents:
• Michael A. Mohrey, no age provided, of Doylestown, Pa., was found urinating early Saturday morning in the Wine & Spirits parking lot off of Leithsville Road in Lower Saucon Township, according to police. Mohrey was cited for disorderly conduct.
• Mary Sell, no age provided, of Upper Milford Township, Pa., was charged with drunken driving after authorities pulled her over March 15 for a traffic violation on Route 378 South in Lower Saucon Township, according to police.
• Ryan Ofner, no age provided, of the 700 block of Fairmont Road in Riegelsville, Pa., was charged with drunken driving after authorities say he was stopped early March 17 on Easton Road in Lower Saucon Township. Ofner was allegedly traveling 60 mph in a 40 mph zone. His blood-alcohol content was 0.12, according to police.
• Lower Saucon Township police are investigating reports of a vandalism in the 2000 block of Schwab Avenue after a resident found the windshield of his vehicle cracked from a bullet fired from a BB gun. Authorities believe the damage occurred between March 15 and March 22. Police ask anyone with information to contact the township police at 610-317-6110.
• Brenda Lee Steinmetz, 44, of Bangor, faces theft charges after authorities say she stole the purse that had been mislaid Wednesday by a 76-year-old woman at TK's Bar & Grill Restaurant in Upper Mount Bethel Township.
• Hellertown police responding to a domestic dispute on Friday in the 600 block of Main Street charged Jerome S. Staggers, 35, with disorderly conduct after he failed to follow police instructions and left the home, screaming obscenities at the officers, according to authorities.
