Candy Barr Heimbach, of Bethlehem, shareholder in the Philadelphia-based law firm Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin, was awarded the Lynette Norton Award by the Pennsylvania Bar Association Commission on Women in the Profession during the commission’s annual conference held May 9 in Pittsburgh.
The award was created in memory of Lynette Norton, a founding member of the commission and an advocate for young women in the legal profession. The award recognizes female attorneys who excel in litigation skills and are devoted to mentoring female lawyers.
Heimbach, an attorney serving in the firm’s Bethlehem office, has more than 25 years of experience in law practice. She was named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer from 2005 to 2012 in the area of personal injury defense/medical malpractice, and was also named one of the Top 50 Women Pennsylvania Super Lawyers in 2011 and 2012.
She earned a law degree from the Dickinson School of Law.
Heimbach serves on the Medical Legal Committees of the Northampton County Bar Association and the Bar Association of Lehigh County. She serves as chairwoman of the Women Lawyers of Lehigh Valley and Beyond, and as a coach for high school students participating in mock trial programs.
Heimbach serves on the boards of the Celtic Cultural Alliance and Cops 'N Kids. She is a member of Quota International and serves as vice president of the Kiwanis Club of Lehigh Valley Industrial Park. She is a past member of the board of directors of the Center for Humanistic Change and the Sayre Child Center, and has served as a volunteer for the American Heart Association.
Dr. Francis A. Salerno, associate chief of geriatrics at Lehigh Valley Health Network, was awarded the Chrysalis Award by the Center for Vision Loss at the network’s annual dinner held May 9 at DeSales University. The award honors a person who is blind or visually impaired who has transformed the world around them.
Salerno, of Fogelsville, who lost his eyesight at 29, has served the aged and the blind with the network for 23 years.
In his acceptance remarks, Salerno discussed the challenges of blindness and how the practice of medicine has enhanced his life.

Brian F. Killeen, of Bethlehem, has been named vice president and branch manager of National Penn Bank’s Lower Nazareth Township branch in the Giant supermarket. He will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, customer service and generating new business.Killeen has 28 years of banking experience. Before joining National Penn, he served as a regional private banker with Wells Fargo Bank.
Killeen attended Heidelberg College and Cleveland State University. He is a graduate of American Institute of Banking and Dale Carnegie Leadership courses. Among his activities, Killeen participates in the Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce.

Don Smith has joined workforce mobility management firm Weichert Relocation Resources Inc. as senior vice president, business development for North America. He will manage the company’s sales force in the United States and Canada.
A veteran of the workforce mobility industry, Smith has more than 35 years of experience in sales, business development and client services.
Before joining Weichert, Smith served as executive vice president of Altair Global Relocation, overseeing sales and marketing. Before that, he worked with Cendant Mobility for more than 10 years as an executive leader in both business development and client services.

Robert Beatty, sales associate with Weichert, Realtors in Clinton, has been named top associate for the month for April.
Beatty was a top producer for listings sold company-wide and led the region in resale revenue units and resale dollar volume. The Clinton office led the company in listings sold and the region in resale listings.
