Police say the man continued to be uncooperative, attempting to bite two other state troopers who were trying to restrain him.
An Effort, Pa. man broke the nose of a Pennsylvania state police officer and attempted to bite two others during an attack Wednesday in Monroe County.
State police officers arrived in the 100 block Merwinsburg Road in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County to help take Andrew Garrison, 32, into custody regarding a mental health warrant, authorities report.
Garrison allegedly struck one of the troopers in the face, breaking his nose. When he was taken into custody, police say Garrison continued to be uncooperative, attempting to bite two other state troopers who were trying to restrain him.
Garrison was charged with six counts of aggravated assault, three counts of simple assault, three counts of reckless endangerment, one count of resisting arrest and three counts of harassment. He was sent to Monroe County Prison in lieu of $250,000 bail.
