The National Weather Service has issued a new forecast for the Lehigh Valley and northwest New Jersey and the number of inches expected is piling up.
Lehigh, Northampton and Warren counties all are to be under a storm warning beginning 1 p.m. Thursday through 10 a.m. Friday. All are forecast to see 6 to 10 inches of snow.
The winter storm warning "means severe weather conditions are expected. Heavy snow, blowing snow and dangerously cold wind chills are forecast," the weather service says.
The majority of the snow is still forecast to fall Thursday night, but snow is possible in the morning and early afternoon, the weather service says.
