A 39-year-old Hamilton Township man was killed early Tuesday when shots were fired at his home, authorities say.

Two people this morning are in Monroe County jail, charged in a deadly drive-by shooting early Tuesday in Hamilton Township, Pennsylvania State Police report.

Jacqueline Rose Harrigan, 20, of East Stroudsburg, Pa., and Bruce Murray Jr., 23, of Tobyhanna, Pa., are being held without bail in the killing of Darcey Eric Kravchenko, 39, who was shot just after midnight at 5014 Old Timber Road, police said.

Kravchenko was in bed in his home when someone drove up and fired multiple shots at the home, county coroner Bob Allen said Tuesday. Kravchenko awoke, stood up and was shot in the head, Allen said. Kravchenko died less than two hours later at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg, Allen said.

The cause of death is pending an autopsy scheduled today at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Salisbury Township, the coroner said.

Harrigan and Murray were arraigned Tuesday night before District Judge C. Daniel Higgins Jr. on a charge of homicide, two counts of conspiracy to commit homicide, six counts of reckless endangerment and one count of tampering with evidence, according to court papers.

Members of Kravchenko's family, including teenage children, were home at the time of the shooting, Allen said. No one else was reported injured, he said.

Harrigan and Murray are scheduled for preliminary hearings 10 a.m. Jan. 27 in front of District Judge JoLana Krawitz, court papers say.
