Brother of District Judge Gay Elwell reported missing

Jonathan Elwell was last seen April 17 in Pennsylvania and a Volkswagen Jetta rental car registered to him was found April 20 in Crawford County, Iowa.

Jonathan Elwell, the brother of Easton District Judge Gay Elwell, has been reported missing, according to a release from the Iowa Department of Public Safety.

Originally from the Shillington, Pa., area, Jonathan Elwell was last seen April 17 in Pennsylvania, and a Volkswagen Jetta rental car registered to him was found April 20 in Crawford County, Iowa.

Records indicate Jonathan Elwell was in the Carroll, Iowa area on April 18. He is described as a 44-year-old white male who stands 6 feet 2 inches tall, has blue eyes, and is balding.
