The three men are the first to accuse Sandusky of sexual abuse prior to the 1990s.
Three men are claiming they were sexually abused by convicted pedophile and former Penn State University football assistant Jerry Sandusky in the 1970s and 1980s, according to a report on Pennlive.com.The men are the first to accuse Sandusky of wrongdoing prior to the 1990s, according to the report which cites sources.
During his recent trial, Sandusky's lawyers attempted to defend the former coach, saying that a person does not become a pedophile in their 50s. Earlier victims would squash that argument.
Sandusky was convicted last month of 45 counts of child sex abuse.
Meanwhile, fallout continues stemming from former FBI Director Louis Freeh's investigation into Penn State's handling the Sandusky situation.
Late coach Joe Paterno's family strongly denies the findings of the special investigator who described the coach as one of four high-ranking Penn State officials who covered up child sex abuse allegations against Sandusky.
In a statement today, the family says they “vehemently disagree” with the conclusions reached by a team of investigators led by Freeh.
Freeh's scathing report last week said Paterno and other university officials covered up for Sandusky to avoid bad publicity. It says administrators reversed a decision to report a 2001 encounter between Sandusky and a boy after the athletic director discussed it with Paterno.
The family has attorneys reviewing the Freeh report and says it is “absolutely not” the last word in the case
