Snoop Dog, the not-the-rapper 2-year-old pup, likely saved his owner from dying in Williams Township.

"He wouldn't be here if it wasn't for this dog," the owner's girlfriend said as the black, brown and white Snoop Dog pleasantly paced inside a truck outside the destroyed home, where earlier he awoke his owner. Read more about it here.

In Lehigh County, Pennsylvania Game Commission officials are trying to find a deer with a plastic container stuck on its head. If you see it, don't try to chase it, they say. Read more about it here.

Elsewhere, a man is planning to plead guilty after allegedly setting on fire three ferrets over the summer. Two of the ferrets, Laverne and Shirley, had been released from Harmony Animal Hospital by October. The third, Rupert, suffered more serious injuries. Read about it here.
